Agreed. Perhaps if they put bigger wheels on the original unaltered A1 it would look pretty damned nice. The sports edition looks too 80ish, I can almost imagine that bodykit was taken off an XR2i.

Are Chery trying to emulate the popularity of the sports edition of the Honda Jazz/Fit with this model? The Honda looks better.

Esthetically Bertone did a nice job with the A1 (S12). But the Xtreme has it all over the Chery Sport version.
And the A1 need for headlight and taillight rubber weather stripping (vulnerable), betrays an outdated body design.
