Great input from the motorsports quarter, China Lewis!

How about Geely's recent Zhuhai event. Do you have any footage on that race?

Recently NZ Autocar said that Geely had announced the launch of a new motor racing spectacular: The Asian Geely Formula International Open.
It will be the first truly domestic car race in China. Geely already hosts the F1Grand Prix and the A1 Grand Prix in Shanghai, it said.

Looks like Geely is serious about motorsports.

In 2006 Asian Geely Formula International Open (AGF), sanctioned by the International Automobile Association (FIA) and Federation of China Autosports (FASC), was the first domestic formula racing event.

The championship stayed around for a while, without having gain the respect of the World of Motorsports.

Geely even tried to launch a V6 powered single seater car in 2009 but the project never come to life.

Did Geely give up of their motorsport ambitions?:(

ASR CUP is the best way to be part of any Geely Racing in my opinion. They run Geely Pandas (1.3L)that have been fully prepped for track duty (rollcage, suspension, brake pads and steel braided lines, catback and 15"wheels and standardized tires). All cars are equally prepared and the series runs a weight penalty system similar to WTCC.
The cars handle great and turn faster times at Tianma than the Polo Cup Cars(1.6L).
Next year they are going to be on semi-slicks as opposed to the sport tires that they were on for this season. They run 1:23 on semislicks :)
If you are in the Shanghai area for the next year and want to compete in a well-run series in a car that is also competitive in Tianma LunJia events, please don't hesitate to call 15921628229 to inquire.
