In China, Buick has currently been present since 1999 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buick) and has become one of the most coveted cars in China. Why China?Many Chinese had fond memories of pre-1949 Buicks and GM seeked to build on that Reputation that never tarnished as it had in the US. In 1999 Shanghai-GM introduced a Chinese-built Buick Century/Regal (the Regal is still sold in China), and soon
to follow were the compact Excelle (based on Daewoo Nubira/Lacetti) also with a hatchback version called the HRV, and a modified version of the American Pontiac Montana minivan, called the Buick GL8(positioned in the middle of the range). Soon after came
the Opel-Corsa based Sail (since 2005 the Chevrolet Sail), and in 2005 came the Royaum, based on the Australian Holden Statesman/Caprice. In 2006, Buick introduced the LaCrosse, a modified version of the American LaCrosse sedan (related to the Taiwanese LaCrosse) which is positioned above the Regal but below the Royaum. China is now Buick's #1 Market, with 218,603 vehicles sold in China in the first 10 months of 2006 and only 206,582 cars sold in the US at the same time.

I don't really get it could you tell me which GM brand are made in the plants of Shanghai GM?
And do you have an idee of the GM models that the company built and sold in 2004?
