Let me introduce my broter's ride in this topic also.
It's again Opel Astra but this time five door model with 1.7 CDTI diesel engine and Elegance trim.
Equipment is similar to mine without some minor things. This car was also modified. Additionally it got chromed outside rear mirrors and door handles and new 17'' alloy wheels (AEZ Excite Dark). The car was also chip-tuned to 130 HP.

There are also many changes in the interior. What catches the eye first are the seats covered in the vanilla-coloured leather. The leathes can also be found on doors, wheel and hand brake. The owner also replaced original radio with Blaupunkt Bronx MP3 radio. And he can still operate the radio via buttons on the steering wheel what is really comfortable.

Na ta forum sem se prijavil ker me zanimajo avtomobili. Glede na to, da postaja Kitajska avtomobilska velesila in da tamkajšnja podjetja razvijajo vse bolj zanimiva vozila, ki počasi kapljajo (sicer trenutno bolj ali manj neuspešno) tudi na evropski trg, sem se odločil da najdem kraj kjer bi lahko izvedel čimveč koristnih informacij. In Chinacarforum je tako mesto. Do novic pa prihajam seveda tudi prek ostalih virov in če zasledim kaj zanimivega za tukajšnje občinstvo to tudi objavim.

Zaradi česa pa si se ti odločil včlaniti?

Where was it produced?

I have to check where exactly was my car built but generally Astra is produced in factories in Germany, Belgium, UK, Brazil, South Africa, Poland, Ukraine and Russia, as well as being assembled in CKD kits in other countries.

The car is sold under many names. In Europe as Opel and Vauxhall (UK).
In Australia it is called Holden Astra:

my friend, you have a very nice car. to have a car like this here in Mozambique it's a bit difficult, because our roads does not help. but i also like 4x4s and pick ups. but i liked the interior of the car, looks very nice, with this car you can get any girl in town around here hehehe

@micodelija: The Bimmer belongs to my parents. I'm still driving GTC. This is a 2008 BMW 318D with improved diesel engine with 140 HP and start&stop system. So it's fast enough and suprisingly quiet for a diesel. It's equipted with everything one needs for safe and comfortable drive.

Automatic transmission is not avaialbe with this engine.

your custom wheels look good. i really like the leather in your car and how it matches the bottom of the steering wheel to the middle of the seats! that's a great look. you put on some great parts for the exterior, too.

Fisrt of all I wouldn't say Astra is cheap car. It's not cheaper than its main competitors (except VW Golf).
So far I'm satisfied with the car. I haven't had any problems with it. Only complaint is not perfect quality of production. So various sounds in the interior accompany me during driving. But I'm used to that from my previous cars.

Parents bought BMW 318d with following options:
- Advantage package (lots of equipment incuded)
- Montego blue metalic paint
- sport steering wheel
- front parking sensors and
- wood inserts

Total price including small discount amounted to aprox. 34.000 EUR.

Awesome astra, I really like what you did with the seats and wheel. You need to tell your parents they got ripped off on the bmw though, where I live you can get a comparably equipped 528i for the same price as their 318d, or if you still want a three you can get a fully loaded 335i or d.

In Europe cars are much more expensive than in USA, especially premium brands. The price they paid for BMW was quite satisfactory thanks to special promotions (Advantage package). Similary equipted C class or A4 would cost even more.

The new Astra is a very nice car! I've already seen many of them on the road. A few weeks ago I went to the dealership and I was really impressed. An excellent driving position and a best in class interior if you ask me. The Golf looks dull and dated when you compare it to the Astra.
And your Astra GTC still looks great :thumb: I do like the red color and the alloy wheels which reminds me of the OPC alloys.

On Friday after several months of waiting, I got a new car. This time Ford - Mondeo 2.0 diesel (140 HP) in Titanium trim with some extras. Astra GTC was sold during summer and got a new owner.
