I see there are 29 countries Chery exports to or assembles cars in. The only ones I can find are:

Iran, Russia, Ukraine, Egypt, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Armenia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Singapore

that's 13... I would guess a few of the other Stans and former Soviet republics, but not sure.

Is there a list somewhere? Thanks.

What were you're first impression when Chery arrived in these countries? Were they totally accepted and instantly getting sales?

Here in the Philippines. China products are taken as bad-moderate quality. The Chery brand is quite struggling because of the competition with the QQ against the Suzuki Alto, Kia Picanto, Hyundai i10, Toyota Avanza, and Toyota Vios. The Chana Benni has arrived here too but again, still struggling because I don't see many of them on the road. Right now, the Chery dealers are offering a 0% downpayment that gives it an advantage against the other cars mentioned above.

I see a lot of them now, with 3 units on the road a day, still no plate.

in Peru people like more brands like Toyota, suzuki..., but when korean cars came was the same thing: people saying those are bad cars.. but in few years they were accepted as good quality brands (daewoo, kia, huynday), i still do'nt like hunday..., by the way i think the same is going to happen whit chinese brands in 1 or two years they will be accepted well, i just bougth a chery in Peru.
In Chile chery has been susccesfull in his sales, also in Peru too, they sell the cherys very fast, in colombia i don't know much about it, but no doubt cherys are roading the streets.

P.d: sorry for my bad english

Yeah... But I don't know here in the Philippines because sometimes Filipino's aren't good in giving second chances once the products have a history of break down. Take for example Mitsubishi. The Lancer 94-95 series was the best selling vehicle during its release but after so much suspension and other problems... Filipino's stayed away. Then followed by a scandal of a lemon Pajero. These things do happen. But with Hyundai's trail, many are now accepting their products whole-heartedly. To tell you frankly, I think the Hyundai Getz 1.5L CRDi feels more refined than a Chana Benni or Chang'an Ben Ben. But with an almost 200K difference in prices. I think I can live with the Benni because I can still afford to improve the NVH of the car. :) But reliability gives me a lot of doubt. We tend to use the car until it gets broken. If it still runs after 20 years... Good.

I see Chery has a lot of concepts lately. Their marketing is somewhat in a moderate-fast aggressive sort of way, at least this is what I find in my country. Sadly though, their brochures are wrong and their agents are heavily under trained. But I am crossing my fingers right now. :D

Btw, I don't own a chinese car. :D Just love this forum dedicated to Chinese cars.

P.S. Thanks for taking the time to reply to my posts despite the fact that you're struggling with English. I must say, you're doing great. If you want to learn more about English... Download iTunes and subscribe to Grammar Girl. She's great in guiding which is which. :thumb:

Hi iam3739, it's nice to read your input on these models that are beginning to appear on Philippine roads.
Could you tell us in a little more detail about your experience of NVH when driving the Chana Ben Ben? Thanks.

Will i have a Chery QQ (S10) and I am from Jordan , we had Chery since 2002. the car is good but the service center is crap, the mother company should withdraw their license and give it to some one else, its been 6 years you think they would be better, but they are getting worse by the day.

Hey guys, just came back from a cruise from Nassau, Bahamas. And I was really excited to see two QQs on the road in Nassau in less than 30 min of walking in the city, although most cars were still Japanese and Korean, its good to see some Cherys.

Are you out of your mind. Chinese cars dont sell because of quality issues. Not money matters. Peope buy expensive cars here instead of the cheap GWM and cherry and all other china brands. We dont trust the cars yet enough. This applies to Namibian market:mad:
