STRONG winds blew at least 10 cars of a train off the tracks in China's far western region of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region today, killing three passengers.

Two passengers were seriously hurt and another 32 lightly injured, Reuters reported, citing Xinhua news agency.

But no less the fact that this part of China holds lots of potential as expansion moves west.
