A typical American car buyer expects to

1. Keep the car for 8 years.
2. Drive it for 100K miles(160,000 km) trouble free.
3. Then sell it for $3,000.

How many Chinese brand cars do you know that last 8 years and run for 160,000 km trouble free? Can't think of one? Then the issue of whether Americans will buy a Chinese car or not is settled.

LOL this guy is quite delusional. I've known many people who drive a Chrysler and need their transmission replaced before even 50K miles.

chinese taxis depending on the city are required to be scrapped after 5 to 8 years. they typically cover 100-150k km per year. I've been in plenty of cherys with upwards of 500k km on them.

mine won't last that long, but then I run it a bit hard...........
