I was wondering about the origins of some chinese engines, I like to know the engines which Geely engines derived from, I think for the HQ it is derived from Daihatsu Charade's engine, but what about the CK.

I think Geely bought the obselete TOYOTA engine licences and is mass producing them.

So are they saying they use toyota engines in their advertising. The Geely CK1 engine looks almost exactly like the toyota corolla engines from 1993-2001. Toyota corolla engines are one of the most reliable in the world.
