This is the new Changhe-Suzuki Friend according to today's autoindex.com. But it mentions IPR so I'm guessing this was an exclusive in house joint development project. Available in 1.1 and 1.3 litre versions.

Yes I noticed the news in Autoindex. Looks like I was little bit ahead in news :)

Changhe Ideal is to be sold in Europe as a Suzuki Ideal. The car will be available only with a 1,1 liter 65hp engine. Price in Germany will be around €7,000 :eek:

It's great to see a Chang'he so hopeful as to make the plunge, but are they ready? Take a look at the fit of the RH rear door on the red model. At first I thought it was not fully closed but a closer look at the top half says it is.
And how about those many grays, and blues in that interior. It's hard to tell if the color coordination is pleasing or not.
Well, I guess Suzuki is confident about the outcome if they will allow it to display their name instead of Chang'he's.

c'mon its not that ugly , look at the Daihatsu Charade .. pretty BLAND , yet it's selling very well .

It's a very nice little auto!. It has something of Fiat Idea/Opel Meriva, with small tyres, but it's an original car, imho...
