i have the safe models, soon i expect to have a safe model with hover chassis and mitsubishi engine, that car probebly goes like hell :), also martin you have tho safe's in slovenia, on in celje and other in ljubljana, yellow and black, but they have the bosnian plates, also i buy a deer model for me, i drive it also on bosnian plates.

@micodelija: if you check the photos of GW Deer I found at chinamobil.ru, you will see the pick-up has two different designs of the interior. Why is it so?
What kind of interior have Deers which are on sale in Bosnia?

it's because the old models have that interior,cheaper and don't have a good quality, the new interior is the same like in the safe model, look's much better and it's better quality

safe will stay in production, it's been modficated before year ago, how have 4 brake disc, got the engine from hover mitsubishi 4g64 and chassis is different,also tires are not 15"...now is 16"

i also think that but they adopt those models for different markets, in last couple of year deer model was best selling pick up model in russia, because deer is going out of production now they offer wingle and sailor

in africa sailor is very popular, and deer 4x2 is popular in countries like dubai and emirates,middle east countries

it isn't problem to produce those car's because all of them are on the same chassis and have same engine, interior is also the same, one time we put interior from safe in deer and it fit without a problem

wingle will change it's name to STEED, also soon will be avalaible with gasoline 4G69 engine with 100 kw and in single cab version,for diesel engines already is installed 2.8 tci with 85 kw and intercoller

Sailor and Sing are now available with new grill. The vehicles look much better with it.

There they are then fitted with these distinctive front ends. But do you know where the Toyota-based bodies for the Safe and Deer are sourced?
I also wonder who supplies the Wingle body. Perhaps it is produced in house?

According to our sourcs all the bodies are now made in house but still carry the same looks apart from the new front grill and interiour.

the interiour by the way is now the same in the Wingle(imported here as the STEED) as what it is in the salor:thumb:

Nothing yet, I will waiting for the manual. I have bought a new Safe 4x2 but it is traveling yet to my country. It has engine No. D080452929, do you know if it is 2.2 or 2.3? this engine is similar to Toyota 4Y or Mitsubishi?

for engine...this engine is like toyota 4y, safe have two engine, 2.2 is like toyota GW491EFI and have 78 kw...and 2.4 is mitsubishi 4G64 which have 93 kw...but by the code it's a 2.2 engine

Are these essentially utes with an enclosed cover at the back because the majority of the one's I've seen look remarkably like a Japanese model, the Mazda Proceed.

Production of the 'old' Great Wall suv's seems to be reduced to nearly zero: production 2009 Safe: 89; Sing: 0. Only the Hover has high numbers: 31.495. (period January-July)
Sad :( Safe was quite popular in Russia - it was assembled near Moscow and was the cheapest full size SUV (apart from ancient UAZ).
But due to the protective tax it's not imported anymore. Would GWM continue the production of Safe's?

you have chinese site, there you can found it, gwm put hover h3 in production which have very similar price like safe, so people now mostly buy hover h3 instead of safe with 2.0 engine
