Shuanghuan Automobile Co. Ltd will start to sell Noble 1.1L AMT (automatic mechanical transmission) this August, Chinese media reported. Citing sources from a Shuanghuan authorized dealer, auto industry website Cheshi.com.cn reported that the Noble AMT model will be priced lower than 56,000 yuan ($ 7,677), some 10,000 yuan higher than the current Noble 1.1L MT model.

Beside Shuanghuan Noble AMT, Chery Automobile has also launched a QQ3 AMT model, which transmission is provided by Fiat's component unit Magneti Marelli. The two models will compete directly in China's mini car segment.

Last October Shuanghuan announced to sell its 1.1-liter Noble in Europe, which will be priced above 9,000 euros (95,612 yuan) in Italy. Daimler AG accused Shuanghuan Nobel of plagiarizing its Smart ForTwo, while Shuanghuan denied the accusation.

Noble arrived to Greece. Basic version FLIRT costs 8.880 € and for that you get ABS, front airbags, AC, some electornic gadgets, etc.
Two better equiped grades are also available, SMILE for 9.880 € and PLUS which costs 11.880 €.

In my oppinion the prices are too high for a Chinese city car.

Shuanghuan Noble: Chinese Smart Fortwo Motto is Smarter Than The Rest

Chinese car manufacturers are rather unconcerned that a number of their vehicles appear to be blatant copies of production models from other manufacturers. The Shuanghuan Noble, which recently went on sale in several European countries, is an obvious clone of the Smart Fortwo. If the vehicle wasn’t enough of a slap in the face to Smart’s parent company, Daimler, the car’s new slogan “Smarter than the rest” surely isn’t winning any fans in Germany.

Just last month Shuanghuan was given approval to import their BMW X5 clone called the CEO to Europe. BMW was fighting vigorously to stop that from happening, and may still be fighting to have the CEO’s approval revoked. Smart recently prevented Shuanghuan from showing their version of the Fortwo at the Bologna Motor Show in Italy back when it was called the Bubble.

Pricing for a Greek Shuanghuan Noble ranges between €8,880 and €11,880 compared to the Smart Fortwo coupe which starts at €9,850. It remains to be seen how many people will be tempted to go for the Noble in order to save less then a €1,000.

Outdoor version of the Noble at Auto China.

Shuanghuan Automotive, famous for their copies of the BMW X5 and Smart, showed a new Outdoor version of the Noble.

It has all the usual outdoor/cross country/crossover add ons, such as roofrails, some extra black plasic, a little more ground clearance and a spare tyre on the back.

But more interesting was the painting on the sides, it was a typical V-Twin Harley Davidson engine with some bits of the frame and seat. A Harley is a motorcycle, it is strange to piant a motorcycle on a city car but maybe not for Shuanghuan. After all, they like doing crazy things, such as shopping the Harley logo away and replace it with their own.

Funny car though and it seems a succes in China, Shuanghuan started selling them in Beijing two months ago and I see them smarting around more and more.

I think this car might be succed in near future.

What a blatant ripoff! First they steal the design, and now thay pas off a different badge! I'm all for Chinese cars, but this is ridiculous.:mad:

It has the look of the Smart but mechanical suspensions and the postponement is a Chery QQ.
