Look at the thin chassis frame of A20; there is no way that thing can pass Euro NCAP, or do well in IIHS crash test.

hey without his chasis we really got nothing to argue about, he dedicated his life to this chasis thing, the least we can to is argue with him about it.

Now everytime I see a nice car, the first thing I think about is to crouch down and check its chassis.

great phots - why.....

HATER will tell you why. According to him the A520 is on a Toledo chassis right. But the toledo, as he rightly points out, has a beam rear axle, whereas what we see under the back of that motor is a nice set of wishbones. Since your definition of copying has everything to do with parts interchangeability I think you would have to concede that the A520 is ready to ship to you in the USA.

as to comments on the chassis rail dimensions, I really doubt that you can look at that and advise. In any case, does the EURO NCAP test include rear impact? never seen any pictures of that, just front and side. I could be wrong though, since I spend more time driving them than crashing them I really don't care too much about that.

I've seen the 'two side by side' loading used for minivans but that's the first time I've seen it used for normal cars. Must be pretty wide and scary on the road.

what kind of engine does that truck have? Must be big to be able to haul 12 cars at once.

it's a dongfeng truck, so probably has a dongfeng-cummins engine in it, either a B series 5.9 litre (up to about 200hp) or a C series which I think is 8.6 litres and is available up to around 300hp.

chinese trucks are generally not that powerful at the moment, but there are a lot of new developments going on for bigger engines (about 11 litres range).
