It is really great that most cars that I saw in Beijing
are very "reasonable". They don't use the whole earths
resources to build one car.

They look like they get good mileage. There are likely
to be many many more of them so this is good.

But, correct me if I got this wrong....................

a BLACK AUDI with BLACK TINT windows is COOL.

Thanks Admin, (is that your real name?)

by "China Car" I meant.....cars I saw people driving in China.

What attracted my attention is the black tint windows.

Those are illegal in most western countries. The police want
to be able to see inside. They don't want to hear that the driver
can see OUT just fine. They want to see IN. How is it that
the drivers in China are allowed such freedoms?

The black tint with a black car is a cool combination. I saw
the VW variation, and the BMW version, but I recall some visual
clutter. And unless I was seeing the same car...............
there were more AUDI. I assumed you must be making them.
We make the BMW three series here in Afrika and they are kind
of "our car" even though Germany owns the name.

In England the tinting of windows law is more down to how well the driver can see out, in order he can see other people and traffic on the roads.
For front and driver's side windows then the amount of light blocked should be no more then 15%. For rear windows this can be as high as 40% (I think).
The police in England have special 'light meters' that can show how much light is blocked.

The best car I have seen in China so far is the Ferrari F430 Scudderia, in the Ferrari dealer in Shanghai.
Only seen a few sportscars on the roads so far.... one yellow Ferrari 360, one red Ferrari 430, a few Porsche 911's (mainly black and yellow). Apart from that.. not much else to speak of.

I noticed that the Ferrari's for sale in the Shanghai dealer were far too expensive. Their red F430 they had for sale a few weeks ago was 4 million RMB !!!! ..... that works out to be about 285,000 GBP..... in England we can buy the F430 for about 130,000 GBP. (It comes straight from the factory in Modena, Italy).
I guess this is the main reason why so few sportscars from Europe are sold in China..... too expensive compared to western prices.

But there are more and more people becoming rich in China every year.
And it would be nice to see China design and build their own sport/super car one day.
