is there any chance to see chinese driver in highly demanding F1 scene?

I'm not aware of any talented driver that drive in formula 2 or even formula BMW that can take a step further toward F1.

Love to see more asian driver in F1 :thumb:

Hi, I am so glad I found this forum.

In fact, we planned to see F1 racing in China this year, but FIA changed the time from Oct. to April. In Shanghai, it is pretty cold in April. ;) So we have to rethink about it. We are so obsessed with F1 racing.

There is Ho ping Tung. He considers himself Chinese I think, even though he is part Dutch. He has very good contact with the Genii group that owns Lotus-Renault GP and I believe he is one of the 6 or something test drivers they have. Not sure if he is competing in GP2 or F2 or something

why did my previous post disappeared? Well. I do it again! Ho Ping Tung is a Dutch born Chinese and is on his way to America to race in ovals. The F1 Dream is over for him.

The most promising Chinese around is Zhi Cong Li and will join Asia Racing Team (perhaps the best single seaters outfit based in China) driver line up for the full Formula Pilota China (new championship) season in 2011. But even him, he is still far to reach the dream...
