It's really the bigest salon for such money

Hello everybody,my name is Logan and i am a 29 Year old german living and working in China Sichuan Province Chengdu.
Today i visited a local Skoda Dealership here in Chengdu to have a closer look at the new Skoda Superb or how chinese call it Super Be
Currently i am owning a Dongfeng Peugeot 206 in Blue metallic and search for a new car thats why i checked out the quality level of the Superb.
After a close look i can tell you ( i was drivin' the Superb before ) that the quality level is close to 99% of the european model.The interior is basic standard for a VW product and i am sure the streets of Chengdu and China in general will be full of them very soon.
It fits the chinese requirement espicially about the price.The colour linup will include the chinese favourites like white black silver in the beginning as well as the red brown.Like most of the Joint Venture products here in China there are only smaller differences like for example that the european Superb II has 8-10 Layers of colour while the chinese one will only have 6.The interesting extras that you can get in europe will not be available here in China in the beginning.Within the next few days i will take the new Super B for a test drive and tell you more about the detailed experience soon.

Hey Michael , yeah the Superb is out in China - like i wrote before i had a look at it for the first time about 2 weeks ago and then again for a second time.And i am going to have a test drive these days.After that i can tell you more about it cause i am considering to buy it :thumb:

I would buy it too - if available in scale 1/18.

Toady i got a phonecall from my Skoda dealer here in Chengdu - they invited me to a testdrive next weekend.
I will post my impressions and details about the new Super B as soon as i am back home :thumb:

Hello everybody - today was a superb day again in Chengdu with a lil bit disapointment.
Skoda invited to a presentation of the new Super B - but again no test drive ( we had rain and i think the local dealer was a lil bit scared but promissed to make up a new date at the Chengdu Racetrack )
But at least i was able to make a few pictures today ( even if still not allowed - dont asked me why )
Sry about the quality but i was unprepared and had to use my cellphone.

The Skoda Superb was launched to the Chinese market under the name Hao Rui, which is Skoda Auto's third strategic model in China and Shanghai VW's new growth model.

The Superb Hao Rui comes to Chinese buyers in four model versions: Classic, Comfort, Comfort+ and Elegance, featuring 1.4 TSI, 1.8 TSI, and 2.0 TSI engines. The European versions differ from the Chinese ones based on the engine lineup, the choice of colors, and chrome decor on the vehicles. The Hao Rui is priced between 172,300 yuan ($25,230) and 253,300 yuan.

Skoda Auto supplies its Chinese customers through a network of more than 200 dealers. The vehicles are produced in Volkswagen's Chinese venture Shanghai VW. Besides the Superb, Skoda Auto already produces and sells the models Octavia Ming Rui and Fabia Jing Rui in China.

Production of the Skoda Auto flagship Hao Rui (which in Chinese means “boundlessly sharp”) in China started on June 11 this year. The Superb had already been first introduced to the Chinese public on April 20 at the 2009 Shanghai auto show.

Since its introduction to the European markets, the new Skoda Superb has been well received by customers. In the first half of this year, the largest Czech automaker sold a total of 18,573 new Superb cars.

Hi All, my name is Manuel and I am from Switzerland, I own a new Superb, and I am very happy with it, my problem is following, I try to buy a new front grille for my Superb, a new one from China, because the one you have in China is cromed and very nice, better as the one we got in Europa, just gray plastic.
Could any one of you tell me how/where I can order this part?
I tried to look for it in internet, but I didn't find any suplier/shop who has it.

Shanghai VW to suspend Superb production

Shanghai August 20 (Gasgoo.com) Shanghai Volkswagen, a joint venture between China's SAIC Group and German's Volkswagen AG, will suspend production of its Skoda Superb beginning September 1 for one month due to slow sales.

The company has already informed dealers of the production suspension and will start producing the popular Tiguan that it does not have enough in stock to meet the market demand at present.

With regard to whether the existing capacity of Tiguan can meet the growing demand in the Chinese market and whether or not to resume production of the Skoda Superb, Shanghai Volkswagen said it is hard to say for now.

While on the notice sent to its dealers, Shanghai Volkswagen said it will temporarily stop production of the Skoda Superb starting September and dealers may manage the stock properly.

The company currently has 13 dealerships in Beijing, each having an inventory of 50 vehicles. When asked whether the car's price would be raised, the dealers said it probably won't help boost sales.
