I thought Geely has learned its lessons with the introduction of the FC-2 and FC-3. But this looks horrible: it's a Geely Vision with a copied front fascia from the Mercedes-Benz S-Class.

But the letters 'SMA' at the right back of the car suggest this is a Shanghai Maple, so is Geely's TX brand the successor of the Shanghai Maple brand?

I also noticed SMA letter. Maybe that means Geely will keep Shanghai name for its premium brand (although we can hardly call current SMA lineup premium).

Rear lights remind me of Skoda's.

According to China Car Times, SMA have released a new car, the SL1. Set to revitalize Geely and indeed SMA, the SL1 soprts a new 'look' and is based on the Geely Yuan Jing. Prices start from around 70,000rmb.

It seems SC618 started rolling off production line. Suprisingly, it is still carrying old SMA logo.

Even outside design is nothing special in my oppinion. But interior is completely outdated.
Judging from that, I assume mechanics is also not up-to-date, probably just transferred from old Geely models. Hopefuly at least price will be competitive, i.e. low.

@ martin_krpan: The whole car is based on the Geely Vision, which is also a copy of the (previous) Toyota Corolla.
Hopefully Geely decided to sell this car as a Shanghai Maple instead of introducing new brands and logos.

So let me see if I can get this straight...This model was derived from a Geely Vision based on a Corolla, which was also known as an FC-1, a Yuanjing, a Biao Wang, an SL-1 Sea Wave, and now is being marketed by the Maple Division as a Geely SC618 under the Englon brand series......:confused:

Maybe Jianghuai Auto (JAC) won the rights to the old "Vision" name.
When I first heard FC I thought it was a Freedom Cruiser but no, that's too logical_ the Freedom Cruiser is a CK-1.
