Buick Royaum was a rebadged Holden Statesman. In 2005, General Motors began exporting the Statesman to China. The Royaum was initially equipped with the 3.6 litre Alloytec engine fitted to the Statesman, however a 155-kilowatt (208 hp) 2.8 litre version of the same followed later in the year.
In 2007 the car was replaced by Buick Park Avenue.

2.8 litre engine in a Holden Statesman? I wouldn't think it would be powerful enough because most of the Holdens sold in Australia and New Zealand usually come with V6 or V8 engines of 3 or 4 litre capacity. Very interesting.

can anyone tell me why GM has to use Australian and Korean cars when they could just tweak thier American products and sell them overseas?
