Leichi CUV (car-based utility) vehicle was put on the market in 2004. According to some Internet sources, the car was riding on the same platform as the Baoding Dadi City Leading but had a different front end styling (similar to Nissan X-trail).
I don't know whether it is still in production.

Is it just me, or does it have a GWM badge on the steering wheel?

Those internet sources are mistaken. Although both the BAW and Dadi, short wheelbase SUVs, look similar they are of different origins. The Dadi has the ubiquitous Isuzu-based body sitting on a ladder frame. Where the Leichi body originates from I'm not sure, but I believe it too sits on a ladder frame.
