Jianghuai, well known for its Hyundai-based Refine MPV, will introduce this Rein "SRV" (SUV) later this year. It's said to have a 2.0L engine and will sell for under 150,000 renminbi.

My question is why does it display the logo of Baoding Dadi (Hebei Province) on the grille? Hebei Dadi is another SUV maker in Baoding.

Maybe because their logo isn't a registered trademark and Jianghuai wanted to "borrow" the logo in question.

Jianghuai has been making Refine MPV's under Hyundai license since around early 2003. In 2004 Hyundai and Jianghuai had plans for a $780 million joint venture to build trucks, buses and engines for "small commercial cars" but the plans were abandoned. Don't know the particulars of this or how it affected the Hyundai Jianghuai tie-up for the long term, but it's my guess that both the Refine and the Rein are still produced under Hyundai license.
Recently Jianghuai received it's long sought after approval to build passenger cars.
Maybe some of our Chinese readers out there could elaborate on the Hyundai-Jianghuai relationship.

I assume the low price and full options package made you chocke, right? 130,000 RMB is about 13,000 EURO. This might not be much if the car is properly built and uses good materials.

By the way, the new price listed by dealerships in China does include the 17% VAT? Does it include the Consumption tax? If yes, how much (%)? I keep asking this question on the forum, but nobody manages to answer me.:nono:

List Price or Showroom price in China does not include any Taxes. On the road price for a RMB 130,000 listed vehicle is going to be around 150,000.

JAC are planning to launch a make over of the Eagle SUV, which is based on a previous generation Hyundai Sante Fe.
The diesel engine is reportedly a 1.9TCI diesel model, and JAC will also be working on a 2.0 Turbo model, which we hear has as much torque as a V6 engine. The motoring press liked the exterior of the Eagle, but they say its biggest weakness is some of the interior plastics is harsh, and in some places poor quality. We have full confidence in JAC to correct these errors though!
