rich kids..... don't have a clue what struggle their parents and grandparents went through to win their democratic freedoms.....

they're hopelessly idealistic about the future of Korea, of the world, too much time on their hands, too much money in their pockets...

others have gone through it....like France.....it's a painful stage in Korea's development...I hope that sanity, reason and logic prevails....

Notice the burning of the American flag? Everyone hates the USA at the moment and you can't blame them. I, as an American, am ashamed of what my government has done in recent years as I'm sure many other Americans are as well.

Depends on who you ask...or better yet, what "news outlet" you check up on. Personally as a moderate, my life hasn't changed since 9/11 other than emotionally. My parents still have jobs, our family still buys new cars, we're still in our McMansion, etc. Personally, I think media outlets spin the news way too much. You've got bias on both sides of the fence.

Axle, why not get a big bottle of propane and chuck some flames about then. Mainly because it looks like fun, but you could call it expressing an opinion. Although it might be a bit dangerous (the propane experiment that is).

My earlier response to these demonstrations was wrong. This looks like the demonstrations against moving the big US army headquarters from Seoul to another location in Korea. It means taking land that's probably been in some family's possession for generations. A real sensitive issue by anyone's standards. The same thing happened in Japan when the gov't took farmland to build the Tokyo Narita airport. The demonstrations went on for years.

Of course some folks in Seoul must've been happy to see that big army base land go back into the lucrative real estate market.

I cant help but notice that a Canadian and an Aussie feel the need to pop off About America, try loosing 3000 people in the blink of an eye burned to death or having their throats slit by Muslims as their lying on the floor of an airplane then pop off some more. How do you think China would respond if they got attacked by Islamicfascists I bet much the same way and I would support them too. Try leaving politics off an auto message board as most people use their love of cars to escape real world problems.
