BYD’s love of sedans is hardly a secret, although they do have an SUV and MPV in the pipeline, it seems that their bread and butter is sedans. The latest sedan is this rendered BYD G6 which is apparently going to be bigger than the current BYD F6.

From what we understand, BYD’s G-series of cars is going to be their semi premium line up, whilst the F-series will be the regular run of the mill cars. The first car into the G-series was the BYD G3.

BYD also has the L3 sedan, and an I6 sedan in development, it appears that BYD are certain to head down the well trodden road of quantity over quality, that their northern neighbours Chery and Geely seem to be doing so well.

In my opinion, this car is completely obsolete. It looks like a blatant copy of a Honda Accord and competes directly with other models of the BYD lineup.
Where does this car find its niche between F6 and I6?
Is this car really slated to go into production?

:mad: Unbelievable... the entire new BYD lineup is a sick joke, every single model is a blatant copy. BYD takes one step forward with green vehicles but jumps 10 steps back with these clones. Did Wang Chuanfu go insane from having too much money!? I hope Honda, Toyota etc sue the **** out of BYD. :mad:

BYD debuted their self developed 1.5T engine in the BYD G6 The engine developes 155hp and 240Nm of torque at 1750-3500rpm.
