BTW, I have never heard of this company before.
Joest 01-19-2010, 01:13 PM According to their website, they appeared in 1996. They're assembling coach and commercial vehicle.
Apparently, they are sourcing some Santana station-wagons that they turn into SUV or crewcab pick-up.
I made an article about them:

erik (laofan), cmvdc 01-20-2010, 04:42 AM A strange surprise, new to me!
This is an agricultural vehicle company. The pickup and stationwagon are licensed as agricultural vehicles, I wonder what the government will say to that! Good find, Kallepetri!
Joest 01-20-2010, 08:15 AM A manufacturer that you've never heard of? I can't believe it!
Here is their website: http://www.shjiuma.com/
erik (laofan), cmvdc 01-21-2010, 03:12 AM Yes, Jonathan, China is still full surprises. I have never seen this car, but a next visit to Shanghai can be included with a visit to these works. And I repeat, it is not a formal car factory, but an agricultural vehicle factory. Which means that the pickup and stationwagon are equipped with a 2156cc agricultural diesel engine, delivering 34 kW (!), good for a maximum speed of... 70 km/h.

RR ltd Co. 09-09-2011, 01:23 AM I read it yesterday, and I'm full of admiration for their innovation :p
Maybe it looks a little... aaahh, lack of english words... underdeveloped, but they really did boosted their ideas very high! They did it like McGyver: something impressive out of nothing
The front from Kia and Volvo, back from VW Polo, the engine from farmer's tractor, but it's still a hybrid  just wow!
Joest 09-09-2011, 10:44 AM I read that when Geely started, they worked with a really small manufacturer, in order to get a manufacturer licence.
Was it Jiu Ma?
erik (laofan), cmvdc 09-10-2011, 02:22 AM No. Jiuma has no license to produce cars, only 'agricultural vehicles'. That's why they use this 34kW tractor engine.
Geely started in 1999 in the Zhejiang province in, first license was CJB, this was bought from a company named Deyang Auto Works, also named Deyang No. 95 Works (a truck manufacturer from Deyang, Sichuan province). The first Geely website gave as contact address Sichuan Geely Deyang! Soon they marked the cars with HQ (Haoqing) and JL (Geely), later followed MR (Merrie). When they bought Shanghai Maple they admitted SMA.
Greetings!
