Suntae-BAW M22EV

The Weijun, a van developed initially for BAW by Rainchst Auto, disappeared from the Chinese automotive scene for a few years. In late 2017, LSEV maker Suntae (Zibo Shuntai) relaunched the van, this time as an electric vehicle. Both cargo and passenger versions are in the program, but the cargo version is more likely to be marketed. The vans are produced under both BAW's (BJ5020) and Suntae's own license (ZST5020/ZST5021) only in long-wheelbase form (2850 mm). The current model is powered by a 45 kW motor. Note BAW logo on grille.

Another bus maker, Jiangsu Dengda Automobile Co., Ltd. of Jianhu County, Yancheng, has also applied for production of the van (SGK5020), likely from BAW-sourced kits. Lichi too has recently started marketing the M22EV cargo van in cooperation with BAW.
