Hello!
What can you say about Xin-Kai?
There were sold about 400 trucks and SUVs of this chinese plant in Russia. Then import stops because of very bad quality of these trucks! And now rumors of bad quality of Xin-Kai goes for Great Wall Auto cars, ZX Admiral, Chery - all chinese cars.

is xinkai more popular than ZXauto and Greatwall motor in Russia??

No!
There is no Xinkai in Russia any more. Only about 400 cars (trucks and SUVs) were sold in 2005. Now import of them is closed because of very bad quality.
Xinkai is just one of the 1st chinese car in Russia - that's why there so many russsian web-sites. And actually of it's bad quality many people think that other chinese cars are of bad quiality too! Great Wall is quite popular. ZX Admiral less popular (because of broblems with spare parts and sometimes not good quality, and price is higher than Great Wall).

Honda to file lawsuit over China's decision to reject CR-V patent application

- Honda Motor Co said it will file a lawsuit against China's State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) over the patent authority's decision to invalidate the Japanese carmaker's copyright application for its CR-V sports-utility vehicle (SUV).

The company said the SIPO recently ruled that the exterior design patent application for its CR-V model is invalid because the new design is too similar to the original version, thus likely to confuse buyers, said Honda.

But the company insists that it has made remarkable improvements to the model and the new version is obviously different from the old one.

Honda began to make the first CR-V cars in 1995 and launched its new version in 2001.

At the end of 2004, the Japanese carmaker
filed lawsuits against two Chinese automakers, Shijiazhuang Shuanghuan Automobile Co and Hebei Xinkai Automobile Manufacturing Co -- two small-sized car producers based in the northern province of Hebei -- alleging that they copied the exterior design of the Honda CR-V model.

Currently no judgement has been made on the lawsuits.

Honda added that to date, it has sold 2.4 mln CR-V vehicles globally

HEBEI XINKAI is a small Chinese company making various types of SUV's and pickup's. I don't have much information about this company but here's something. Xinkai exported about 400 cars to Russia in 2005. These were models X3 Pickup HXK1021 and X3 SUV HXK6490. Quality was crap.

- HXK2023E "Xiong Feng Xilie". Sourced from BAW. Old Jeep Cherokee with a new face style.

Pick-Up:

- HXK1021 (Isuzu-based). Two different faces.

Van:

- HXK6490 "HaiShi KeChe" is a "Hiace". Two different looks.
- A bus similar to Toyota Coaster. Model name unknown.

What Xinkai models were sold in Russia ?? I made a new thread about Xinkai and collected some information there.

Nearly all the users of Xinkai agree that they have VERY bad quality. And cars imported for the first time was even worse! Cars was of 2 models: Xinkai Pickup X3 and Xinkai SUV-X3. These Xinkai cars was more expensive than a much better Great Wall cars!
