To me, the logo on pictures I published looks like double chevron (like Citroen uses) in roundel. I don't recognize stylized Great Wall in it.
Your Proteus indeed wears old GWM badge.

I didn't recognize it because it carries strange logo unknown to me and not official King Long's one.

No Martin, King Long has several factories and this logo belongs to one of the other bus factories.
