What was your first car?
 

The first car I ever owned was a green 1970 Chevy Nova. I was 18 and I bought it for $3,000 and owned it for about 15 years. The car I traded it for was carp.

The first car I owned was a 1965 Ford Mustang. Oxidized purple paint job. Liked the body style but the car didn't hold up very well mechanically for me.

Seat Ibiza TDI Sport. Lively little hatch with 110 diesel HP. But the quality was not up to standards. It was painted in canarian yellow with matching black/yellow leather seats.

Car on the picture looks exactly as mine did. I just put TDI badge on the grill so everyone knew what was going to overtake them.

My very first vehicle (a.k.a baby) was a 2005 Pontiac Sunfire. Out of all the movers and shakers I've seen, she was the best. Unfortunately, the transmission screwed up, so I traded her in for my Honda Civic. I will never forget her! Out of all those long distance movers, she was the hardest fighter. R.I.P. car. lol.

LadyCivic, although you no doubt already realize this, your Honda Civic is a better made rig than your Pontiac Sunfire was.

I've just bought a new car: Acura ZDX (honda). It's very luxury and nice, stylish. It's my first car. I really like it.

my first car was a 1964 Buick Lesabre 4 door hardtop I bought for $50 USD. Drove it to California from Wisconsin which is about 2400 miles. It was already nine years old when I bought it and quite rusty with a paint job applied with a brush.

My first car will be a late 1990's BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz or Rover or an early 2000's Honda Civic, Toyota Corolla, Nissan Sentra, etc. Because they are excellent cars (here we call it "fierros"), they have a lot of spare parts and they don't pay license plate anymore. I won't buy a national-made car, because they are all a piece of scrap, old designed (We built only the ancient Opel Corsa-based Chevrolet Classic 1.4 and the grumpy Fiat Palio and Fiat Siena) and extremely expensive (A Chevrolet Classic base model is priced about US$ 15.500).

Amusing that you describe some already-extinct local cars as "piece of scrap, old-designed" yet have no issues with foreign cars ~15-27 years old. Wouldn't these latter cars fall foul of emissions or safety regulations nowadays? Can they be certified as roadworthy?

As for the "We built only the ancient ..." part, I believe Argentina is currently producing the following PVs:

Save for the Kangoo and Berlingo/Partner, these are not very old cars: some are from the mid-2000s, while some are pretty new. Most of these are even exported within Mercosur. I am not debating the perceived quality or value of these vehicles, whatever those might be, simply mentioning that Argentina does not build "only" "ancient" cars.

Yes Dmitra, but it's only my opinion. I better prefer the cars that I've mentioned in my old post, but I know that the national production cars are too bad, not like in the 90's or the 80's. My dad has 2 IME Rastrojero's, 1 Peugeot 505 SRi, 1 Renault 21, 1 Renault Clio Symbol dCi and now, 1 Toyota Corolla SE-G. All except the Clio and the Corolla are national, but the R21 was a very bad car.
I only say that here, they built bad quality cars but priced like first quality cars.

I know some people that have or has some of the cars that you've say in your post that they are too bad. My cousin has one Peugeot 308 Allure 2013 and the engine was broken down in half a year, and he was too dissapointed. Here the Peugeot-Citroën cars are too bad, like the Renault, Ford, Chevrolet, Fiat and VW. Except Toyota, but they have too high the cars prices.

One morning riding the bus on my way to my high school, I spotted an old, but shiny, black 1940 Ford sedan for sale at a filling station. On the way home I stopped and inquired about it. Days later, I purchased it, but had no license to drive. An older licensed classmate of mine agreed to drive it the 5 miles to my home. A bit of a wild guy, as he drove off, he squealed the tires, and broke the drive shaft just blocks away from my home. So my first serious repair job was to make it driveable again, and once I did, I drove off happily with no major problems thereafter.

My first car its black Mitsubisi Lancer X, so happy when bought it with
automatic transmission, and other things in it please me, and I recommend it to everyone!

A 2015 Hyundai Accent, I still drive it on my way to work. I am so happy that I get to buy this car using my savings. It is definitely worth it even if I have a truck now.

This was my brother's first car in 2009 and I bought it from him in 2012! Truly fun to ride and very efficient. Then baby came and I have to get a better family car so he bought it back. He ordered a new set of rims from 4Wheelonline and he's planning to tune it.

My first car was an MVM and I bought it from the site( https://carap.ir/ ) when I was 20 years old. It was very small but I loved it.
