The now successful JAC received some outside help along the way, as the below information indicates:
Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Co., Ltd. is a Shanghai-listed company,
located in Hefei province, that manufactures and distributes automotive
chassis and gearbox components for manufacturers of bus, truck and chassis.
Anhui Auto is one of the largest automotive chassis companies in China,
and it has representative offices in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Guangzhou,

The Group is a diversified regional manufacturer and distributor. It operates
2 core businesses, namely automobile manufacturing and electronic
component distribution. The automotive division operates in China and its
portfolio of principal products comprise motorcycles, light trucks for
commercial and agricultural use, chassis for passenger vehicles, and gearbox
The stake in JAC was sold by Lion somewhere around 2009.
Lion of Malaysia, also invested in the late Nanjing Auto, and Huali Auto of Tianjin.
