Khalid Mushtaq Motors Ltd., one of the 10 companies to have received greenfield status approval (till now) to set up new auto plants under the country's Automotive Development Policy 2016-21, has tied up with Chongqing Changan Kuayue to assemble the
V5 minivan* and
Wang X5 S/C minitruck under the "Mushtaq" brand. Production is expected next year.

Master Motor Corp., a CV manufacturer, is also
collaborating with Changan Auto to produce SUVs and LCVs in a separate joint venture.
Changan mini commercials have been sold in Pakistan by Karakoram Motors in the past. Now reborn as Pak-China Motors, it is also a greenfield status recipient but is now partnering with Lifan.
