The X7 (how many "X7"s do we have in China now?) is based on BAIC's new BMFA architecture. ICE, hybrid, and electric vehicles can be created on this common matrix. According to a few sources, the BMFA was developed with Daimler AG's help and is probably an adaptation of the Mercedes-Benz MFA1 (first generation).
