Jinbei, a subsidiary of Brilliance China Automotive Holdings, is one of the largest minibus makers in China, producing the Toyota HiAce in various guises and also the Granvia, locally called the Grace (Granse). Current capacity is 80,000 units. The Group's principal minibus products are the deluxe minibus and the mid-priced minibus, targeting different market segments in the Chinese commercial and passenger car segments.
Current lineup consists of three minibuses: above mentioned Granse, Awing and Qinwu.

New Granse (Geruisi - G13)

Both LWB (SY6542) and SWB (SY6492) versions of the G13 Geruisi are now slightly longer than their predecessors, measuring 5350 mm and 4905 mm respectively. Wheelbases remain unchanged at 3430 mm and 2985 mm. The LWB seats 9, the SWB 6/7.

It's remarkable that Brilliance Jinbei would bring attention to a model its displaying at a the big show in Guangzhou as being the seventh generation of their van. When comparing it to earlier generations of this model, little change can be seen.
On the other hand, even a small automaker like Zotye has models on display that demonstrate its radical departure from its first Daihatsu Terios-based model, launched in 2006.
What happened? There was a time when Jinbei had the distinction of being the foremost van maker in China.

Renault to take a 49% stake in Shenyang Brilliance Jinbei Automobile Co., Ltd., the minivan and minibus maker which has been running up losses in recent years, despite the overall Brilliance group doing well financially. The stake will be sold to Renault for a token sum of 1 yuan, although both parties have agreed to put in a total of 1.5 bn CNY in the company (now a joint venture).

Huasong is a brand of SBJ, not a different company. As I understand, the deal encompasses the Shenyang minivan and minibus (Haishi) operations, the Mianyang operations (since that is legally a subsidiary of SBJ) but does not concern Brilliance's car business Zhonghua or Brilliance's alliance with Shineray (SWM as well as minitrucks and microvans).

However, I also feel Renault will not generally interfere in the Mianyang operations as there is no synergy between Renault's LCV expertise and Mianyang's products (SUVs, pickups, and a couple of cars made for Zhonghua).
