JAC has returned to the Russian car market with two SUV models, S5 and S3, after having left that market in January 2016. This time, the cars would be exported from Kostanay, Kazakhstan, where SaryarkaAvtoProm LLP, a multi-brand assembler owned by AllurGroup, has been making these since 2015.
The Kazakh company has also tried its hand at assembling some of JAC's electric cars in small experimental batches, and recently it started pilot production of the iEV7S (link). ____________________ [The last time, the S5 was being assembled in Russia by Derways and the J5 sedan was sought from Bogdan in Ukraine, but hostilities with Ukraine put an end to that plan (and Bogdan stopped making passenger cars as well). Even earlier, the defunct Russian company TagAZ had assembled some JAC models under its own brand.] ____________________ Fun fact: Not only are Chinese SUVs assembled in Kazakhstan exported to Russia; the Lada 4x4 too is assembled by Azia Avto in Oskemen and exported to China! |

JAC's Mexican partner has presented 5 electric vehicles in the country, which include the E-J4, E-Sei1, E-Sei2, E-Sei4, and E-Frison T8. These will go on sale next year.
https://www.am.com.mx/hidalgo/notici...1114-0033.html https://www.motorpasion.com.mx/indus...s-equipamiento Note that E-J4 is not the electric version of the J4 (Heyue A30), but what is known in China as the iEV7 or iEV7L. E-Sei1 is the iEV6E Sport, E-Sei2 is the iEV7S, E-Sei4 is the iEV S4, and E-Frison T8 is the electric version of the Shuailing T8. GML (Giant Motors) has also launched the gasoline-powered Frison T8 in Mexico this month. https://mexico.autonews.com/coches-y...-con-frison-t8 Last edited by dmitra; 11-26-2019 at 01:19 AM. |
