Default Hyundai Venue (Taiwan)

Hyundai launched its small CUV Venue via its distributor Nanyang Industries in Taiwan today. Pre-sale activities had commenced with the announcement of prices three months ago in June.

The Taiwan-spec Venue is powered by a 1.6-liter naturally aspirated engine, producing 123 PS, mated to a CVT. Local production by Sanyang Motor began in July. It is 4040 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2520 mm, and is thus equivalent to the Korean-made version intended for most global markets*. External dimensions are, however, not identical.

*The Indian-made Venue has a length <4000 mm and a wheelbase of 2500 mm; a small number are exported too. Reportedly, the Indian and Korean/international versions are based on different platforms.
