I found two rare crash test in a video! (Hongqi)

I found a webpage contain .RM video files about Chinese cars (found from video.yahoo.com).

That webpage is Chinese language, I don't know Chinese language, but now I downloaded a video about Hongqi (and Zhonghua),

and I found this picture from Hongqi video... (I don't know Chinese language, so I don't know what's name of that model.)



Unknown speed of crashtest.
In this picture, better than Landwind SUV, a little bit.

Note : before this crashtest, the first Hongqi in video, Hongqi CA7202E3, very good crashed in video if it was 50 km/h or more (but i think it's quick in video but too slow for real speed...).

Those are full width frontal impact tests. Any car can pass that test, even very old 1990 models.

The car is based on the Audi C3 platform used oin the 100/200 and the V8 , which had to pass the U.S. crash standard from 1983-1992. As far as I am aware HongQi's C3 based models use the original design and used factory dyes.

- OK. I think that's mean Hongqi CA7202C3 and hongqi (Chinese name in picture, I can't read) are same level of safety as Audi 100...

In video, i seen dashboard was broken.

(I said CA7202C3 pass full width frontal impact tests., not CA7180A2E in DOS's picture, but i think they are same platform.)

but in that video, it isn't finished crash test video (like Landwind crasttest video), so i don't know how much damages when after crashtest.

Here is wat happens in an NCAP offset test with such an old car. Remember, when these cars were designed there was no offset test...

VW Golf 2 vs VW Beetle (classic beetle )

The result for the Golf2 was actually worse than the VW Beetle. This tells you that at that time VW really couldn't care less about safety other than passing the mandatory full width test for EU/US type approval. Yes, this car passed the US type approval test.
