there are two different front ends, both seems to be in production. What is the difference?

I think I understand it: petrol version: small grille, PHEV: large grille.
Sorry for the typo: both seem to be in production. |

Hanteng looks serious about being competitive in an already crowded market of SUVs and CUVs.
Its website gives no hint about its connection with the Tieniu Group, mentioned above, or with Tieniu's other subsidiaries Zotye, and Jiangnan. So it's puzzling that Hanteng, without an initial offering of NEV models*, would have received the approval of the NDRC and a license to produce at a time when consolidation is being encouraged by Beijing. It doesn't seem practical to duplicate the efforts of Zotye in both production and distribution. This seems to be just one more surprising startup, late in the game, like Weichai, Changjiang and CH. Hanteng's website is an impressive one with English available, and an indication that connections have already been forged with major global suppliers like Mahle, Continental, Samsung and Ricardo. Anyway I look forward to Hanteng's foray into the world of NEVs and the Internet of Vehicle ( IoV) as proposed in its introduction. * correction: One PHEV was mentioned briefly Last edited by Lawrence; 11-15-2016 at 12:01 PM. |

This article should clear some issues:
http://auto.sohu.com/20160516/n449689562.shtml There has also been some restructuring within the group, with Huangshan Jinma now aiming to hold all of Zotye shares, but that is not related to Hanteng. Last edited by dmitra; 11-14-2016 at 06:02 PM. |
