Dongfeng-badged Landfort and Xiongshi F22 found in latest MIIT notice. Production location is recorded as Dongfeng Motor in Xiangyang, Hubei.

Exactly that thought crossed my mind when I first found the pictures; searched around for a while but did not find any articles/reports mentioning such; anyway, I will continue to look for any connection.

Here is an article from today expressing surprise at what it calls a "copy". At least we get to know these vehicles will be branded Yufeng (U-Vane, like Donfeng's big van).

For the moment, I will assume that Dongfeng is buying kits from Foday (keeping in mind Foday's reputation as an auto body supplier) to make own-brand SUVs and pickups. Remember their original Tuyi SUV (see here, here) possibly had a Foday body (very common at that time).
