New Gonow Holding Group (a.k.a. Daide Group) is a corporation based in Tongxiang, Zhejiang. It is principally engaged in the manufacture of trailers and in motorhome conversions, with a subsidiary in Australia as well (Regent Caravans).
Zhejiang New Gonow New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd. is another subsidiary set up for venturing into NECVs (new energy commercial vehicles). New Gonow is making investments in new technologies, production systems, and manufacturing of components involved in building electric CVs. It has a vehicle test center and research lab for this purpose. Currently a manufacturing plant is under construction in Taizhou (Zhejiang) with a planned capacity of 90,000 NECVs per annum. Taizhou was also the headquarters of the old Gonow.
New Gonow is the second automobile venture of Miao Xuezhong, the founder and head of the original Gonow Auto, who also served as vice president of GAC Gonow for some time, eventually leaving the company in the hands of GAC. Now, New Gonow is resurrecting the Xingwang/Way as electric cargo/crew vans. Own production has not started but the vehicle has already been licensed (or offered) to a few other Chinese automakers: Dongfeng, Dayun and Wuhu Baoqi (Bodge/Boidge)
