Thanks! Will be pretty helpful for anyone not comfortable with Chinese. I tried this twice in 2018 but found it tedious (I didn't need to translate though since I can 'work' with Chinese), so accolades to you for taking the trouble. They do provide filters at the top of the database, so that saves me a lot of effort.

Now I'm wondering about this MIIT database. The above link is to the latest batch of new registrations. There is a link for thelatest batch of amendments to active registrations as well:

Is there a MIIT link where I can search all active registrations? Since I can't find it, I use this instead:

Additionally, is there a database where I can search expired (historic) registrations?

Try http://www.chinacar.com.cn/search.html with the "显示撤销车型" checkbox ticked

or

https://www.cn357.com/notice for a form-based search, or

https://www.cn357.com/notice_list for old Notices (very old ones might be partially complete)

MIIT Notice #332 has been published:

MIIT Notice #333 had been published this morning at the usual web address, I did manage to save a few model-specific pages, but suddenly it went offline and at the time of this post, the main page is displaying a 404 error.

First of all, apologies for the late reply, but I've been busy with other things the last few weeks. Your links however are very helpful, many thanks (again)!!

MIIT notice #333 is online again and I did find the time to do the usual google translation. Also added #332.
