The GC7 is a heavily reworked Geely Vision, which means its a clone of the previous Toyota Corolla, just like the BYD F3.

Default Geely GC7 Yuanjing (Vision) (JL7152K17)

Geely will be merging the GC7 and Vision into one car model with the upcoming facelift of the GC7, just as it did in the case of Jingang (King Kong) and SC6.

The "new" GC7 Yuanjing has recently received state approval:

The website www.topspeed.com did a review on the "2014 Geely GC7" dated 10/28/14, with a badge on the trunk lid that matched the title of the review.
But the car shown is the SC7, as seen here on CCF. I wonder if anyone can tell me why. Does it have anything to do with a badging difference related to export vs home market?
