Default Changhe Ideal EV3 (mini EV)

Small EV from Changhe, based on the Zhongke/Core Power K1 (LSEV). Motor output is 20 kW. Name unclear (EV3?).

The Changhe EV3 will be followed by two other electric vehicles, the EV5 based on another LSEV (Yudea YD360) and EVS3 based on the Q25 SUV:

Changhe has started construction of a new factory (New Energy Base) in Chaisang Dt., Jiujiang, which will be their fourth plant. In the initial phase this will have a capacity of 50,000 NEVs per year.

The name "Ideal" (爱迪尔) will be revived for the small car EV3, according to MIIT. Range is 256 km; equipped with a 29 kWh battery pack.

BAIC of course holds a license to produce NEVs, but does its subsidiary Chang'he limit itself to producing just the low output/low speed "LSEVs" (with the exception of the EVS3)?
Or, does the "EV", you use to name these models, mean fully licensed NEVs.

These "EVs" are/will be NEVs of course. The Ideal EV3 was included in MIIT's July notice, which I had linked to in the first post, and which automatically suggests it is a licensed NEV, not an LSEV, even though it has a puny motor of 20 kW. The body is borrowed from the LSEV, Zhongke K1 (which has a 4 kW motor).

In spite of the small motor, the Ideal EV3 has a max. speed of 101 km/h and NEDC range of 256 km, complying with the "double 100" rule, and its range also exceeds 150 km, making it eligible for a little bit of subsidy and a purchase tax exemption.

Changhe has been making electric versions of the Beidouxing; even those are NEVs. It is true Changhe has not yet come up with a family size/midsize electric car/SUV yet.
