In the year just ended the Guangzhou International Motor Show, Mitsubishi next-generation Lancer using imported in the form of the introduction of domestic sales, respectively, with 2.0L and 2.4L engine power, the estimated price of 218,000 yuan from. Before that, southeast of Mitsubishi Tanabe, deputy general manager of the Shang Yu in an interview when that next year will Lancer EX into China to carry out home-made, and made a new generation of Lancer's internal code name was "GS".

From the domestic next-generation Lancer's spy as we can see that the new models currently imported Lancer EX is very similar, but there are also many differences. China-made new generation Lancer continues to face the first shark-like nose, but the decorative chrome around the article was imported models, front fog lamps and shapes have changed.

China-made new generation Lancer side of the body lines and import Lancer EX does not change too much, the tall and tight waistline gives a sense of coordination, dynamic fluid lines, highlights the seductive charm. However, domestic next-generation Lancer did not campaign with a strong sense of skirts, the wheel and also imports Lancer EX, do not know whether the test loading components because of the lack of a sound.

From the tail of the photos we can see that China-made new generation Lancer and imported Lancer EX does not change too much, especially after the same sharp taillight cover is not cutting edge. And made a new generation of Lancer's tail affixed with a "South East Motor," the plaque to reveal its true "identity." Through the tail of the photos can be seen reversing radar probe, it appears that domestic next-generation Lancer is not a low profile.

The car's interior is not particularly clear as spy, but can still see out the internal structure. First of all, made a new generation of Lancer's console and imported Lancer EX's basically the same layout, but the materials used in the shrinking significantly, the console be used decorative chrome-design article. In addition, the co-pilot was to place a cash Lancer head of the CD, it is to test the old-fashioned audio equipment coordination? There are car seats, obviously the use of cash Lancer's seat weaving, I do not know whether such a mass production model. China-made new generation Lancer used six-speed manual gearbox, but many consumers seem to be looking for more fun to drive manual gearbox.

Above, many of the coming generation of consumers in China Lancer models also have some knowledge. Mitsubishi next-generation Lancer is currently imported in the form of sales, the price of medium-sized cars have entered the price range. However, the South East Mitsubishi hopes the new generation Lancer made after the adoption of lower cost, this new-generation models will enter the compact car market, so that Teng-speed, Carola, and other models will be made next-generation Lancer's competitors.

An article from China Car Times suggest that the new Lancer, which is to enter production this year might replace the hundreds of Volkswagen Santanas in the police force. A police model was seen outside the SouEast factory alongside a civilian model.

Interesting. The police force must think pretty highly of the car, and its reliability. I know I love my '08 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS. It goes in for a L-O-F and tire rotation on Friday the 3rd of July in Tucson.

Mitsubishi Lancer VIII to be named New Lancer in China.

Quote:
22 July 2009
The next generation of Soueast Mitsubishi Lancer is getting ready to roll off the production line.

The current SouEast built Lancer is somewhere between the 5th and 6th and 7th generation Lancers, and is quite frankly, nothing compared to the 8th generation model.

Thankfully, SouEast and their JV partner, Mitsubishi, do have plans to introduce the 8th Generation Lancer into the Chinese market as a domestically made product later this year. The 8th generation model is currently imported into China via the Beijing Auto Works dealerships and is priced at 200,000rmb and rising. The domestically made Lancer is expected to go head to head with a rising crop of domestically made compact cars such as the Ford Focus, Honda Civic and VW Sagitar. The domestically made Lancer is expected to have engines from 1.6l, 1.8l to 2.0l.

The Lancer has also been without a name, as the current Soueast built Lancer takes the phonetically translated 蓝瑟 name (Lan Zhi), to solve this problem, SouEast has simply called the new Lancer 蓝瑟∑翼神 (Lan Zhi Huang Shen), a genius move Iím sure we can all agree.

A launch date for the 7th generation Lancer is not confirmed but it is expected to be around the end of the year.
