I must admit that I was wrong thinking about a student's design project. It looks serious now. Is there a copyright on grilles?

This morning a Pontiac GTO parked near my home caught my eye, and I saw a close copy of the BMW double kidney grille. So If there is such a copyright law Laofan, then Pontiac should be paying BMW a penalty.
But I doubt there is. |

In my opinion, the exterior looks very classy and upmarket, although it is heavily influenced by the Bentley Continental and the Chevrolet Epica.
In comparison to the exterior, the interior is a disaster! Cheap and ugly like in an old Kia! |

Why do I get the feeling that Huatai's Korean neighbors from across the Yellow Sea had a hand in the design of this model? Maybe because the front end reminds me of the Ssangyong Chairman and the Hyundai Genesis.....

So what is the situation? Is it in production, or is it just one of the many concepts that will never reach the streets?
The car doesn't look bad, but I can't understand that a 1,5 liter engine would be appropriate for an apparently large car like this. And who are Huatai? Do they have any experience manufacturing cars? Do they have a sales apparatus? |
