Default Idea for Roewe TV Commercial

Hello there, this is my first post on CCC, I've been lurking around for a long time, and find the whole topic very interesting. I have been waiting to see a timeline for Chinese car manufacturers to start exporting abroad, and understand the many issues they face such as safety, and brand-image as well as getting themselves known to western consumers. I thought it would be nice if there was a section where we could post our ideas. One idea I have is for a TV commercial for Roewe. Due to the admiration of British culture by many people, and the historical aspects of British history such as the numerous Kings and Queens, and the attempted Viking invasions, I thought these aspects would place the foundations for a great advert. It goes...
The King of England receives news of a Viking army coming to attack.
The Vikings have landed and have a secret location where they are hidden nearby.
The English King needs to locate them for the safety of his people.
He looks to his chief engineer who proclaims he has created a time machine which can produce items from the future.
The King asks for a machine which can have the power and speed of hundreds of horses but in a size as compact as a cart.
The engineer answers "right away" in an English accent.
A Roewe 750E is magically appears
The King - "Good Lord"
(Camera Pans around the car)
A butler appears with the car, and the King asks him to find the Vikings hidden location.
The Butler answers - "Right away my lord"
and jumps in elegantly, before zooming off.
He drives zooms around the hills at very high speeds (showing off the cars abilities) as the King's men watch in awe.
Within no time, he arrives at a location and witnesses the Vikings hide.
The co-ordinates from the satellite navigation system are recorded.
The King is informed and the armies are informed right away.
The Vikings are successfully defeated.
(The Roewe appears on the mound with an English castle in sight, and the Viking being driven away)
The Companies badge is the shown and the motto is read!
The end.

I know many of you may not like my idea or think it is silly, and yes a sat nav would not work in those days as there won't be the satellites, but I hope you find my idea interesting.

That'd a great commercial! Be sure to make it humerous and tasteful. Though the budget would be quite high...

I like your thinking though. Link the Roewe to British heritage goes a long way in selling it's image (since it has deep British roots).

Also, DO NOT try to do commercials with any Chinese things. Not that there's anything wrong with Chinese things, but this Roewe brand is all about British heritage, so stick to it.

If someone comes up with a completely new, indeginous Chinese luxury car brand (the likes of Hongqi), then sell that on Chinese things.

Sounds too much like a Rover advert! But I wonder how many people would know that the Rover badge is a Viking Longship? Without that knowledge it might be difficult to understand the story!

Oh, I didn't realize that the ship on the Rover badge was a Viking one. I was thinking of any old invaders be it the Romans or Vikings. I am sure many people know though that the Vikings attempted to invade England.

"The Rover mascot began its life as an innocent pun on the most famous rovers of all - the Vikings. As the word ‘Rover’ means ‘wanderer’ or ‘seafarer’, a Viking mascot was considered apt for the Rover company.

The 1920’s saw the adoption of the helmeted Viking and the triangular badge that intrigued generations of owners of Rover vehicles.

Rover’s upstanding Viking gave way in due course to his head alone, still with helmet. Logically, this gave way to the figurehead of a Viking Longship.

The Viking Ship prow and sail first appeared on a radiator badge in 1929 and evolved symbolically throughout Rover’s history. "
