Default What About SAIC

SAIC is working on twe new automatic transmissin systems from the Antonov company.

The AAD for the smaller New Rover cars and the DCA for (we think) the The New Rover 75.

It's interesting, I'm majoring in Mechanical Engineering, so I wanna find more about it. But first, what does this AAD mean? and also DCA? I knew only AT AMT... for automatic transmissions, so what are these two concepts you mentioned about?
Thanx a lot

http://www.antonov-transmission.com/aad.htm

Including info on its use in the Rover 75 and Rover 25.

I drove one in India in 1997. Cool. 1954 CHASSIS, 1980's Isuzu diesel engine, NO BRAKES (realistically), column shift and bench front seat, a really cool ride.

I believe they now fit disk brakes to some of them, but you need to be careful using them as all the proper ones with their drum brakes all round pile into the back of you!
