Iran is the number one destination of exported Chinese vehicles, and now I guess the same could be said of Chinese auto assembly operations.

In addition to the 14 shown above, are five additional Chinese makes which have been assembled in Iran:

Changfeng - Kerman Khodro
Zotye - Rigan Khodro
Huanghai - Azar Motor
Hawtai - Kerman Khodro
Zhongxing

Corrections or additions are welcome....

Changfeng - Kerman Khodro
Zotye - Rigan Khodro
Huanghai - Azar Motor
Hawtai - Kerman Khodro
Zhongxing

Corrections or additions are welcome....
Leopaard CS10 and Hawtai A25 were planned by Rigan Khodro in 2017-2018, some kits could have been test-assembled but the two models have not been offered as locally assembled products (till March 2019, Rigan did not even have its own assembly line and used sister company Rayen Vehicle Manufacturing's facility).

Some Chinese makes are hidden under local brand names, e.g. Zhongxing is present in the table as Bahman Capra; the Landmark stopped being produced in the year AP 1395. Zotye is represented by Rigan (Coupa) and Saipa (Ario) which are in the table. Huanghai, as AMICO, is in the table.

There are a few more Chinese models assembled but not included in the table by MIMT. These would include the Rayen Vela V5, production of which was recently revived, and new introductions like BAIC X25, Bisu T3 and T5, Foton Sauvana, Hanteng X7 and X5, Chery Arrizo 6, or MG RX5.

Hi all
I've been here before, but I lost my details so I reregistered.

Have you heard about Fahd Egypt?
https://www.facebook.com/FAHD-Egypt-1790647681262038/

IFG Group which imports Jinbei, Soueast, Victory to China added Fahd recently. I know their truck - it is the Zhongxing Terralord.

But I have trouble with the Haise microbus. Is it a badge engineered Jinbei Haise?

On this picture you can probably see the Chinese manufacturer, but my Chinese is very limited:

It starts with Jin, but not Jinbei I think

Thanks
Pal Negyesi

Jincheng of Qinhuangdao, Hebei lost in a suit brought by Brilliance Jinbei in 2005-2006. But apparently it continues to produce this model, which is a duplicate of others that have been produced by companies like Tianqi Meiya, Great Wall, BAW,and Jiangnan.
I seriously doubt it has a license from Jinbei or Toyota, and thank you Pal, I didn't know it continues to be exported.

..thank you Pal, I didn't know it continues to be exported.
Besides Fahd, the same vehicle is also sold in Egypt by Zemex (covered in our forum) and another company, Sigma Auto.

P.S. I think a couple of their vans still have valid type approvals in China.

About a decade and a half ago, I too learned a lot from Pál. His knowledge about the obscurest of car builders is phenomenal!

Here are two of his sites he told me about in 2015:
http://automuseums.info/
http://ceautoclassic.eu/

Fun fact: I believe Erik and Pál have both worked on one (or more) of Mr. Georgano's car encyclopediae.

But so far, no 'homegrown' Chinese car company has entered the U.S. market to sell their own engineered vehicles here.
Technically, BYD is currently selling and producing electric busses and trucks in the US. BYD has a office in Los Angeles and a factory in Lancaster. They have donated or possibly just gave the Los Angeles Housing Authority at least 4 BYD F3DM in 2010.

Those F3DM models were leased for a couple of years to the LA Housing Authority starting in 2011. Reports say they were serviced by BYD technicians. But only the buses (and perhaps trucks?) out of the Lancaster plant have entered the market for sale so far.
However, an outfit called Green Wheels did lease some e6 models to Uber, and then later put them up for sale on their website. I don't know how they could get them on the road without going through the normal homologation process
