Chongqing Shineray Automobile Co., Ltd. is an automaker in China, with headquarter located in Chongqing and manufacturing plant located in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, P.R.China. Invested by both Brilliance Auto & East Shineray Holdings Co., Ltd. The plant, with an annual production capacity of 210,000 units and a CNY 1.5 billion investment, has been awarded ISO 9001 & ISO/TS16949 Certification to ensure vehicle qualities to meet international standard, occupies more than 800,000 square meters and equips first-class facilities for pressing, welding, painting and assembling.

“SHINERAY” is acknowledged as one of the Chinese famous trademarks. At present, the number of Shineray employees is more than 3,000. Owning an independent system in automotive R&D, manufacture, sale and service, Shineray mainly produces mini-size commercial vehicles and 800-1300 cc gasoline engine series. All newly produced Shineray automobiles meet China III Emission Standard (equivalent to Euro III) and some reaches China IV (equivalent to Euro IV)Emission Standard, and has been certified in compliance with China Compulsory Certification. In 2010, Shineray will invest CNY 0.5 billion to construct a new plant with an annual production capacity of 150,000 units and a land area of 450,000 square meters in Mianyang.

In 2005, Shineray officially entered automotive industry resulting from its Passenger Van was born in Japan. After 3 years elaborative preparations, first Shineray car came off its production line on 23rd October 2008. By the end of 2010, Shineray would build more than 1,000 sales and service outlets in China but also export its Passenger Van and Cargo Van to over 20 countries and regions.

For a solid foundation in future, Shineray will speed up the R&D,and sales volume achieve 150,000 units in 2011; Focus on international markets in Africa, Asia, Middle East and South America.

Hello Erik,
How surprising that you are so fimilar with Shineray. Shineray is still cooperating with Brilliance but broke up with FAW. At present, Shineray specialiazes in mini commercial vehicles. Maybe in the near future, we will see other models of Shineray brand.

At home, it uses the name Jinbei Haixing
