The pictures show the Shanghai SH 760 production model, made from 1964 till 1974. The Fenghuang (Phenix) version was slightly different with a nice bird on the bonnet.
I have written a book about these cars: "Shanghai, saloon from the artisan era" see http://www.chinesecars.net/index.php?page=4
Greetings!
The convertible ('parade car') was the first prototype of the Hongqi CA72 open car, it was shown to the press in September 1958. Two were made.
The crew cab pickup is named Shanghai SH1020SP. (this is a picture I personally made in 1990 in Shanghai!). See my book 'Shanghai, saloons from the artisan era' (http://www.chinesecars.net/index.php?page=4)
Greetings!
It's a bit of an oddity that pick up, but then again, there are various Chinese made cars which have been converted to pick ups.
I've also posted some more stuff elsewhere. I got them off a site from Italy which had an incredibly long address.
The funny thing is that the pickup is designed by an English company!
In 1986 Shanghai Auto Works asked Locomotors Limited of Andover (Hampshire) to design a single cab and a double cab pickup on the basis of the Shanghai SH760. The pickups were named SH760C and SH760D.
