Toyota Corolla X (Taiwan)

Somewhat tangentially related to the topic of this thread, here is yet another new variant of the E170 Corolla (Corolla Altis in many parts of Asia) with a "sporty look" and lots of carbon fiber embellishment, made by Guorui (Kuozui) Motors of Taiwan and launched at the end of March. It dons the new "X" visual theme seen on many recent Toyotas. Spyshots of this were seen circulating on the net a few weeks ago with speculation on whether this was going to be the facelift of the standard Corolla.

(Though it does not pertain to the mainland Chinese market, I felt this was significant enough to merit a mention on this forum)

Launched this month; all variants offered with 1.8 L engines.

Russian/Near East markets are already getting this facelift; however, those cars are manufactured in Turkey.
