Toyota and its Chinese partners unveiled the new-generation Corolla and Levin (as hybrid) sedan models at the Guangzhou Auto Show today to coincide with the global unveil of the new Toyota Corolla sedan for other world markets. As we already know from the launch of the hatchback and wagon bodystyles elsewhere, the twins are based on Toyota's new TNGA (GA-C) platform. Interiors of the Chinese models were not shown.
The Corolla update looks good, but I'm wondering why Toyota isn't moving faster to get full EV versions of their cars into the Chinese market. Seems to me like the first one might be the RAV4 Prime, but there doesn't seem to be a clear release date or publicized plan.
