That's great! That is exactly what Chinese car makers should be doing. Go into every single 3rd world country first, then into 2nd world countries, then Europe, and US being last. (And if Japan and Korea ever opens up their markets, go there too. They sure sell enough cars in China, it'd be hypocritical to not let Chinese cars in.)
By doing so, they'd have time to improve the cars before going into tough markets.
