The first one is the NEW Lada Kalina , This one will be avaialble all over Europe soon , its already avaialble here in Egypt , priced the same as a Chery A5 ,
Lada says that after MUCH looking and researching of cars like The Aveo/Kalus and the Opel/Vauxhall Astra , they decided to make this new LADA , this LADA is the only one with a new design , and its 1.6 engine meets EuroIV standards along with its body also meeting NCAP tests , but I am not sure if it was yet tested or not .
The car is simply an Aveo/Astra mix with a lower price and of course , cheaper materials used , I was thinking of getting this one , its roomy yet it might look small , its 1.6 engine is generous enough to produce 109 HP .
This is the a step LADA ( one of the oldest car builders ) should've taken ages ago .
the rest of the cars u posted are only face-lifted / bodyworked OLD models .
OFFICIAL LADA KALINA WEBSITE : http://www.lada-kalina.ru/ ( IN Russian , yet its easy to navigate , nice website , chinese should learn )
yes that might be TRUE now , when companies like chery , faw , said and Brilliance are evolving
but when it comes to reliability and Toughness , Russians will always win .
Its just a known fact here that Russian cars do last longer and DOES more damage ( Thanks to the almost FIBER/Carbon free body all metal baby )
AvtoVAZ (the maker of the Lada) has been around for a long time. Their cars are basic, but they're relatively popular in Russia and other former Soviet countries. AvtoVAZ has the largest single assembly plant in the world and they produce 700,000-800,000 Ladas a year.
Ladas are still to be seen on British roads. i seem to remember a TV feature (on Top Gear maybe) where Lotus took an old Lada Riva, put a Fiat Twin-cam engine in, tweeked the suspension and knocked something like 10 seconds off its track time!
